  1. I don’t have a child enrolled in MMSD so I can’t access the demo but I’m wondering if anyone could post the names of the two competing software packages that they are evaluating and any information about how much they cost. Did MMSD explore using open source software to meet their requirements?

  2. I too am frustrated that I cannot access the demo because I don’t have children in the schools. Of course, I’ll be asked to pay for the software – sight unseen.

  3. Good question Shane, comment Ed. I just requested my login to see what I can see. Stay tuned.

  4. Sorry to have caused some concerns about the SIS demo sites. While we initially opened these sites to anyone with browser access, we were requested by the vendors to limit access to staff and parents. By no means are we trying to limit knowledge of who these finalist vendors are:
    Infinite Campus (http://www.infinitecampus.com:8080/corporateSite/index.jsp)
    Zangle (http://www.cinnov.com/products_overview.htm)
While the vendors do not want to open these demos up to the general public, folks should feel free to visit their product websites and have a look there. I believe other school district customers may be listed at the vendor sites. We have spoken with hundreds of staff at dozens of school districts in this process over the past eight months.
If you have any questions about the review process or feedback on these products, please let me know. Thanks.
