Fall School Board Elections? Maybe in Virginia

Nick Minock:

Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin made an amendment to a bill that could put all nine Loudoun County School Board members on the ballot this November. The bill would still need approval from the legislature.

Loudoun County school board members were set to be on the ballot next year, but the Governor’s proposal would move the elections of the school board up a year.

This move comes after the Governor signed an executive order on his first day in office authorizing the Virginia Attorney General to investigate possible wrongdoing by Loudoun County School Board members and the school district regarding sexual assaults that happened in two Loudoun County schools last year.
