The foundation’s lawsuit seeks a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction to stop the $3 million sale. Even if the county returned the foundation’s money, the lawsuit says the negative effects of the sale are difficult to measure and “cannot be repaired by money alone.”
“Closing on the sale of the Campus to a private school will make it impossible to fulfill the purpose of the Foundation’s gift — an irreparable harm,” according to the lawsuit that the Wisconsin State Journal obtained.
