Vision Screening
Madison students will get free eye exams, prescription glasses and other care directly at school through an expanded partnership between the Madison School District and two nonprofits.
The Madison School Board approved a new Vision Van program at its meeting Monday, providing students with school-based vision screenings, referrals for specialized care and free glasses.
The district added nonprofit Vision to Learn to its existing Bright Eyes partnership with nonprofit Combat Blindness International, which has provided vision screenings to a portion of Madison students at no cost since 2014.
