Why is Wisconsin DPI playing games with its state budget request?
State law requires that budget requests from agencies be submitted by September 15. But DPI only submitted “part” of their budget, and says the next part won’t come until after November (i.e., after the elections).
For the last budget, DPI requested more than $4 billion in new spending. Odd that they’ve decided to “delay” their request this cycle until after the election…
