Meta awards Beaver Dam Unified School District $125,000 for math curriculum
The Beaver Dam Unified School District has received a $125,000 grant through Meta and the ChangeX grant program to support the second phase of its research-based mathematics curriculum.
The funding will help strengthen math instruction focused on problem-solving, critical thinking and real-world applications. It also will provide teachers with additional curriculum resources and instructional support.
The grant follows a $50,000 award BDUSD received through the ChangeX program in June to support technology resources and robotics. The district applied for the additional funding in August to address curriculum needs.
Ryan Cashman, BDUSD director of business services, said the district will continue seeking opportunities to bring additional resources into its schools.
“We are very appreciative of this contribution and will continue to look for opportunities to maximize resources and bring additional investments into our schools that directly benefit students,” Cashman said.
