Last week this column noted that the Democratic socialist running for Wisconsin governor is no longer calling to abolish police and the U.S. Senate. But like all true Marxists, Francesca Hong has yearned to destroy the traditions that unite us as Americans. How much has she changed?
It seems the only people excluded by the Hong signals were the overwhelming majority of Americans, who love to gather with friends and family for the treasured American holiday. The deleted Hong post should perhaps be preserved in the Smithsonian as the perfect expression of 2020 progressive nonsense. In a few short sentences, the author managed to express politicized Covid extremism, obsession with identity and contempt not just for the country’s faith and liberty traditions, but also for the creation of the country itself.
CNN’s Ms. Collins showed an image of the since-deleted post on screen and then tossed what she probably thought was a softball question to allow Ms. Hong to show how reasonable she’s become since those long-ago days of the early 2020s. But it turned out to be very difficult for Ms. Hong to deliver a straight answer.
