Judges and judicial candidates, for example, are barred from publicly endorsing or speaking on behalf of a party’s candidates or platforms. They are also not supposed to “participate in the affairs, caucuses, promotions, platforms, endorsements, conventions, or activities of a political party or of a candidate for partisan office.”
