Madison police detail what led to arrest of School Board member, Urban Triage CEO
The arrests of a Madison School Board member and the leader of a Madison nonprofit came after the two had a disagreement with a Downtown business and refused to get out of the vehicle they were in, Madison police said.
Maia Pearson, the board vice president, and Urban Triage founder and CEO Brandi Grayson were arrested at about 11 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of East Doty Street.
No formal charges against them had been filed as of Wednesday, but police said Grayson, 45, was arrested on three counts of disorderly conduct and drunken driving, while Pearson, 38, was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
According to a police incident report, employees at a business on East Doty “called police and reported that a vehicle had driven over cones into a loading zone and a disturbance was occurring as a result.”
