Civics: Democrats Win Some, Lose Some Trying to Kick Rivals Off Ballots
In a remarkably aggressive campaign to use the court system against political rivals, Democrats can’t win ’em all. But that doesn’t mean they’re not trying. The lawfare campaign against former President Donald Trump, including criminal prosecutions by Democratic prosecutors at various levels of government, succeeded in rallying Republican primary voters to his cause but may not succeed in denying him another term. Meanwhile Democrats’ legal campaign to disqualify other rivals proceeds apace. This campaign is among the reasons former Democrat Robert F. Kennedy Jr.is now endorsing Mr. Trump. The latest news buttresses the Kennedy argument that Democrats have taken a rather undemocratic turn.
