Democrat Beto O’Rourke has repeated one refrain in attempts to appeal to teachers and parents: do away with the STAAR test — at least for now.
O’Rourke pushed the idea previously and has frequently criticized the state’s emphasis on standardized testing and the lack of student achievement.
