As incomplete as the city budget might be, it’s better than what the MMSD produces. Like the city budget, the MMSD budget doesn’t provide any figures by program.
On June 23, I sent the following e-mail to Roger Price to get figures by a few programs. I received no answer or even an acknowledgement.

Can you please tell me the amount the MMSD budgeted and spent in the 2004-2005 fiscal year on the following programs:
TEP
Reading Recovery
Read 180
Direct Instruction
Educational Framework
SIP
Could you also give me the amount budgeted for each program in the 2005-2006 fiscal year?
