China has a confederate in its effort to deflect attention from its mishandling of the outbreak of COVID-19: U.S. media.
The American media cooperated by repeating uncritically Beijing’s reports that it bears no responsibility for the spread of COVID-19. In fact, China’s state-controlled television has made U.S. media reporting part of its internal propaganda campaign.
