UW System fall enrollment numbers drop. Here are the campuses that stand to lose the most

Karen Herzog:

But the stakes are especially high for UW-Stevens Point and UW-Platteville this fall because they are absorbing significant losses of enrollment at their new two-year satellite campuses, in addition to losses of their own.

Losing enrollment means losing valuable tuition revenue that, together with state funding, covers the cost of educating students.

Overall, the UW System’s 26 campuses collectively lost 2,598 students, compared with a year ago — dropping from a total 173,425 students to 170,827, or an enrollment decline of 1.5%.
